It has been raining like crazy and our basement flooded. The sewer drain overflowed and went all over the floors. My mother insists we keep the carpet. Since I am a cynical germ phob and my room is in the basement. How can I make my room sterile again? Its my little sanctuary away from the world. We have been cleaning like crazy with bleach. How can you check the concentration of colorless solutions?
With colored solutions, the concentration can be checked with a spectrophotometer. But the spectrophotometer can't identify the concentration of colorless solutions (not that I'm aware of at least). Is there another way?

How many solutions to the 16 dot puzzle are there?
You know this old puzzle, a 4x4 grid of dots that you must connect with 6 straight lines without lifting your pen off the paper. I found one solution myself, and two different ones on the internet (one here on answers). Does anyone know how many different solutions there are?

What are some solutions to problems that might lead to greater social problems?
In reviewing society as a set of interrelated parts, structural functionalists argue that the proposed solutions to problems may lead to other problems. For example, urban renewal projects displaced residents and broke up established community cohesion.
What are some other solutions that could lead to a greater social problem?

How do different solutions effect the open/close of stomata?
For a biology lab, we had to make stomata open and close using salt water and fresh water. Now we are being asked how we account for the difference involving some information about what type of solutions (isotonic, hypotonic, hypertonic) the stomata were placed in. I'm just not sure which water is which solution. I would greatly appreciate some help.

where can I find the solutions to the problems in a discrete mathematics book?
I have a book called "Discrete Mathematics and it's Applications" by Kenneth H Rosen. Does anyone know where I can find the solutions to all the answers in the book? And I want it for free. If I go and buy the solutions manual, it will just have the solutions to the odd questions, so where can I get it for free?

Where can I find solutions or solution manuals to textbooks?
Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone knows a place online where I can get solutions or solution manuals to textbooks. I have a few textbooks here (calculus, business statistics) that I would like to review, so I need the solutions manual to do it effectively. How can I acquire these solutions after my session with the class is finished? I remember I had access to these solutions through my Uni's website but I don't have access to them anymore.
Any ideas? Thanks

Are solutions to the particle in a box known for potential functions other than zero between the walls?
I'm interested in solving the particle in a box problem with various potential functions inside the box. Are the solutions to arbitrary functions known for this problem, or just for the zero-function?
Sasori:
I'm not suggesting that the potential just be some non-zero but constant factor, I'm suggesting a function (in between the infinite potentials). I'm able to solve it numerically, but I was wondering if someone had found the general solution to this family of differential equations.

How can you determine the amount of solutions in a trigonometric function?
For example, sin(2x) = 1/6, and the intervals would be 0<x<360,
another example sin(x/3) = -2/5 with the same interval values.
I know how to solve these equations, but I do not know how I could go about figuring how many solutions there would be just by looking at it
