are these good interview answers?
i am interviewing the former guy Marshal Bulganin, who created the warsaw pact. I just want to know if the wording of the answers could be inproved?
Why motivated you to create the Warsaw Pact?
The creation of NATO in 1949 influenced me and gave me an idea to form a communist pact to counterbalance the NATO organization
Why do you think the creation of the Warsaw Pact is important?
The creation of the warsaw pact is important to unite all the communist nations in eastern Europe and stand as one of another war breaks out
What countries are inviolved in the Warsaw Pact?
The countries that are going to be included are USSR, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Albania, and Czechoslovakia
(of course he is dead now im trying to sound like him in the answers)

Would these be okay Interview answers?
Interviewer: What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Myself: One of my huge strengths would have to be that I'm very well at communicating, and I believe in myself.
My weakness is definitely being clumsy, but I'm slowly learning to take certain things little by little, so I don't drop everything.
Would that be okay for a retail store answer? :l

How do these interview answers sound?
I have a job interview tomorrow at Payless Shoes. These are some of the answers I have come up with based on questions I found online.
How would you describe yourself?
I'm a very generous and friendly person. I'm pretty easy going and laid back. I love to meet new people and learn new things.
Tell me about yourself.
I'm currently finishing up my junior year of high school, though I take online classes. Before that, I attended (name of school) High School and was enrolled in Honor's classes and was the assistant editor of the school newspaper.
Why did you leave your last job?
I was starting a new school at the time, and though it's online, I still wanted to get a feel for the classes and workload before trying to juggle both at the same time.
What are your long range and short range goals and objectives?
A short goal range that I have is to graduate from high school with a high GPA, and begin cosmetology school the next fall. My long range goal is to become a cosmetologist and perhaps someday open my own salon.
How well do you work with people? Do you prefer working alone or in teams?
I work very well with people. I enjoy working on teams over working alone, but each has their pros and cons.
Why Payless?
I love helping people and making them happy. I feel that the environment here at Payless would be enjoyable to work in. And I love the product sold here!
Why should we hire you?
First of all, I feel that I would be an asset to this company because I am truly passionate about customer service. Essentially, it's what I want to for the rest of my life, as a cosmetologist. I also have a great desire to learn new things. On top of that, I have a flexible schedule.
How would you handle a difficult customer?
I would remain polite and do all I can to help correct the situation and be sure that the customer leaves the store feeling satisfied.
What is your greatest strength?
I would have to say that my greatest strength is generosity. I put other people first and do all I can to make them happy.
What is your greatest weakness?
A weakness of mine is that I can be a little nervous when it comes to asking for help because I don't want to annoying or disruptive. But working in my previous job, I have learned that it's best to ask for help when you need it, because otherwise you won't learn.
These are just a few questions. I know that these won't neccesarily be asked, and that there will be more questions than this. What are some other questions that you think a retail store, like Payless, would ask?
And how do you think my answers sound?
Thanks for your time.

Are these job interview answers okay?
I've applied for a job at Mcdonalds, don't make fun, because this would be my first job, and I'm really freaking out that I won't get the job. Anyway, I got invited for an interview and an OJE.
I was wondering if you could help me by reading these answers to basic interview questions, and give me your feedback on them?
-why do you want a job (in general)
To gain more customer service skills, and to become more independent.
-why McDonalds?
Because I want to become apart of the team where the logo is known world wide, and I believe I can go far in the future, working at McDonalds.
-how do you handle stress
I usually don't get stressed out, but when I get slightly stressed, I just take a deep breath, and I'll feel okay again.
-any previous experience
I worked in a retail store for work experience, learnt a lot more about customer service.
Also, I am currently taking a catering and hospitality course, where it is essential that I serve customers in our cafe, so that I can get a taste of the customer service skills needed in the food industry. I know I lack experience, but I am definitely willing to learn.
-give an example of a situation where you have had to make an important decision
When we were doing Christmas Dinner at our college cafe, I had to make an important decision because we ran out of Yorkshire Puddings. It was either send dinners out with no Yorkshire puddings or quickly make some more. I made the decision to make some more because that is what the customer asked for.
-if you were on your break in the back and saw a garbage needed to be changed what would you do (a-change it right away b-change it when you were back from your break or c-just leave it isn't your job)
I would change it right away because it is my store as much as everyone else’s and I want to help in any way possible.
-what is the most important part of costumer service in your opinion
Eye contact, a friendly tone of voice, good listening skills and smiles, because these qualities will make the customers feel welcome, and want to recommend McDonalds to their friends and families.
Good example of customer service
I dealt with an unsatisfied customer (product was broken) so I apologized for the inconvenience and got him a new one, I then asked him if there was anything else I could help him with.
Bad customer service
One time I went to a shoe shop with my friends, and the woman who was serving us was quite rude. She didn’t smile, didn’t offer any help, and didn’t look approachable. I haven’t been to that shoe shop since.
Strengths
I am trustworthy, honest, and have good communication skills. I also work very well in a team.
Weaknesses
Some of my friends would say that I am over friendly, and go too far out of my way to help people.
Would you hire me with these answers?
Any tips at interviews and OJE's are very welcome.
Thank-you so much. (:

Can you Please Critique my job interview answers? With what you might say instead?
This question may take a while to answer but please, no cheating by saying "I'm too lazy to answer" or "I don't know" I will report offenders.
Please!!! I am really depending on honest answers. This may be my only chance to getting this job.
I applied at two Spirit Halloween stores because I really want to work at a Spirit store this year! I so far had three interviews between the two of them with these following questions I answered. Some are easy, some are hard, some are confusing as to why this would be related to the job...
On two of those interviews, I severely screwed up with what I said, but thank the lord another spirit store is giving me an interview. This may be my last shot so I must study hard!!!
So here is exactly how I answered them I know I really said some messy no no's that probably blew it for my chance at the job... But I'm not sure how to answer these in a prettier way that doesn't sound as unattractive. I would appreciate if you rate how well my answers are and if they are not. What you would say?
Q-What is your favorite subject in school?
A-Philosophy, I feel in love with philosophy and had taken two classes in the subject.
Q-Who was your favorite philosopher?
-Shakyamuni Buddha
Q-How was you past within relations to customers?
A-I dealt with many different kinds of customers during my past jobs, I have dealt with the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Q-How do you deal with the bad and the ugly customers?
A-Usually they would get upset when they want something that is out of my power. What I do then is call someone in higher power who may be able to help him or her better or confirm that there is nothing we can do about them.
Q-What if you were helping a customer, but something needed to get done?
A-I would keep helping the customer first until there needs are meet then whatever else needed the attention, I would get it started.
Q-You would get it started? Would you get it finished?
A-Of course I would. Unless it is too much to ask to get something really large done in one day.
Q-What happened with Target? Why did you quite after only four months? (This question was the hardest because I didn't want to lie)
A-*Thought for a long time how to put it as I felt the pressure of the interviewer staring at me.*
My ex boss and I toward the end we were not getting along. Mind you, I don't have a problem with authority one bit, In fact I loved my ex boss at Hometown Buffet and I was proud of that job. We did used to get along at the beginning, but eventually the relationship started to deteriorate. What he would do is imply that I'm stupid by asking me "Hey Jessica, there is something called common sense. Have you heard of it?" What I mainly did that built my fear of him was he threatened me that he would send me home if I forgot my apron one more time, and I assume that meant fired. I was careful, but sure enough I eventually did forget my apron so I just quit on the spot. Sometime later, he eventually lost his job because many other people besides me were quitting because of him.
Q-How would you handle problems you had with your fellow employees?
A-I usually would bring it to human resources, and dispute it until we come to an agreement that we would collaborate.
Q-If I called your ex boss from Hometown Buffet right now, what would he say that you need room for improvement with?
A-I really don't know. From the top of my head guess, I would think he would say that I could improve on learning how to handle situations myself rather than depending on a higher power such as himself.
Q-Is their anything else I need to know about you?
A-Well, I do have an emotional disability which sometimes brings me to crying spells. Mind you, I never let the customers see it. It had to had happen twice in Target and only once in Hometown Buffet. It's not the customers that mainly trigger it, but the employees I have to face on a daily basis. However, this is still rare.
Q-I have an x number of application and only a couple of slots left, give me a good reason why we should hire you?
A-Obvoiusly I am determined, Very determined because I keep giving phone calls and coming back in person to check my application statues. That tells you something about my commitment and integrity.
Q-Do you have any questions for me?
A-What do you expect of me?
Q-Do you have any other questions for me?
A-*Thought about it* Not that I know of, but if one does come up I'll let you know.

"How would you handle an irate parent?" This is a question that I have coming up in a interview. Answer?
I'm preparing for an interview for a secretary position in the office of an elementary school. I have interviewed in the past for the position with no luck (not of my own doing, but the position was dissolved). I would like to be as prepared as possible before going into my interview. I know this is one of the questions, and I'd like to know a few good ideas as how to go about answering it. Thanks!

How do you explain how you motivate students in an interview?
I know so many examples, but they are so long, and I just don't know how to get them into an interview answer. It so depends on reading the individual, why they are unmotivated and responding to that.
Has anyone any ideas?
I think the keys are
Build rapport with them so they know you are interested in them as a person.
Show positive regard whenever any new positive element develops in their work or behaviour.
Make the lessons relevant and engaging etc.
These are all things that have worked for me, but I don't know how to say them.
