How do you delete answers to questions you've asked?
I still can't find this on yahoo answers. If you ask a question, and someone gives a rude answer, or doesn't really answer the question, can you delete that answer of your question?

Do you prefer questions to answers or answers to questions?
(Am not talking about yahoo questions and answers.)

What is the best website to get answers to questions?
I know a lot of people will say yahoo! answers, but yahoo censor their users heavily. I'd rather use a site that's as large and efficient as yahoo! answers, but without all the political correctness.

Is there any way to penalize people for providing stupid answers to questions here?
I have asked a few questions on here and I am pretty good about providing details about what I have tried and what I am looking for but some of the people on here respond with answers that were specifically addressed in the question as unworking or tried. Since Yahoo keeps a score concerning questions and answers, there ought to be a way to deduct points for answers that aren't helpful in any way. I suggest deducting twice the number of points awarded for providing the answer, thus if I ask what color is yellow and someone responds and says green just to get the points for answering, we could mark the answer as invalid and that person would lose the points gained PLUS additional points. Just an idea.
I seriously did not expect such a response and certainly not so fast. I am flaberghasted some of these responses and nodding in agreement with others. But one in particular stuck me, "Who would evaluate the answers?" I think the person asking the question should do the evaluating, but on the same token, there has to be a way to regulate the arbitrary deducting of points simply because an answer didn't suit your needs, so to this end I would have to say a community vote. Suffice it to say I was just asking a question here!

How heavily does a persons mood influence their answers to questions on yahoo answers?
I find I have argued for both sides on various questions in the same week. I have given contructive positive criticism one day, and then given cutting negative critism the next, to very similiar postings. I sometimes answer deeply onr day or try to be humourous or plain stupidlythe next.
Is everyone like this, or am I abnormal?
Or am I like the majority and a few people are serious all the time

Why are there so many nonvegetarians answers to questions posed to vegetarians only?
Do the meat eaters have an unhealthy preoccupation with us as vegetarians. I posed a question for vegetarians only and got twenty answers often mean and stupid from nonvegetarians advising me to eat meat or worse. For so many vegetarians this is the most important committment in our lives ie. to preserve the life of animals and to chose not to devour their flesh. I wish all vegetarians the best. but we do live in a cruel meat eating, animal suffering world to say nothing of the suffering that people inflict on other people

Why do people give these long unnecessary answers to questions?
If it was a serious question like [I was raped] I'd understand, but to stupid dumb questions like [what should I wear to school tomorrow] why do people write a whole essay? Most people don't [I do] read the long answers. They just look for the short simple meaningful ones. I'm not saying don't write long answers it's just kinda sad, if you waste five min [or however long it takes u to type it] of ur life typing a long answer to a question if u don't get picked as a best answer. Sorry guys I'm just really bored. Do you look up answers to questions in order to answer?
For instance, if I asked you what is the capital of Nigeria, and you didn't know the answer, would you try to find it? Why? Because you'd like to know yourself or because you like getting points? Don't you think the person asking such a question could have easily done the same thing as you? So, why is he asking? Let's assume he isn't lazy, and just wants to know how many people know something? Isn't looking things up on the Internet detrimental to his cause? Should this person specify this in his question? Or do you think it's self-understood?
I know there are many questions here, but there's no need to answer them all, they serve to clarify the main questions and the implications I had in mind.
Thanks to everyone who answered the question(s). It's kind of unusual that many times that does not happen. I wonder do people even read anything beyond that which is written in bold characters?

Why do people post answers to questions on Yahoo Answers, purely to gain points & not actually to help ?
I recently posted my first question to Yahoo Answers & the very first response I received was from someone saying she didn't know the answer, but was just posting because she was nearly to level 2 & trying to gain points. Is this common on this site? And why do people do it? It seems very rude to me.

Why do people pick answers to questions, that still dont answer the question?
sometimes a question is asked, but the answer that is chosen, is not really answering the question. Im not always looking for resolved answers to be "serious", but at least some that make sense to the question that was asked.

Why do people repeat answers to questions on yahoo answers?
I see that on questions people repeat previous answers that are already posted. What gives? Shouldn't people see that the question is already answered, and there is no sense in posting it for a second, third, or fourth time!? Is this just people wanting points rather than to actually answer questions?

Where do I seek answers to questions about benefits for my daughter?
She is 15 and, de to a rare disease, has been disabled since age 7. I've been to the SSA website(not much help for her there until she's 18),and can't find much on the state website(we ie in California).
